Niger hails Bolaji Abdullahi’s emergence as APC spokesman

Niger state government has hailed the emergence of Bolaji Abdullahi, as the new spokesperson of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC), saying that as the sole contender for the position, he must speak in the interest of the party and the country.
Speaking on behalf of the State, Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr Jonathan Vatsa who was the immediate past Publicity Secretary of the APC in Niger State congratulated Abdullahi and urged him to speak without fear or favour.
According to Vatsa “We want the new Publicity Secretary to be firm and protect the interest of the party and our country. We are confident he will succeed and bring his wealth of experience especially as a grassroots politician, one time Commissioner, Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, media practitioner and a onetime Editor who has grains of wit.”
Vatsa while hailing his emergence, challenged Abdullahi who was picked at a mini convention meeting of the North Central zone of the APC, held in Abuja, on Thursday to stand firm on the side of truth at all times in the interest of the party and Nigeria at large.
It should be recalled that he served as a former Minister of Youth and Sports Development under former President Goodluck Jonathan-led PDP government.
The former Minister who hails from Kwara state is to succeed Mr Lai Mohammed, who quit the job last year sequel to his appointment as Minister of Information, Culture and National Orientation by President Muhammadu Buhari
