Electricity power supply has been a national problem, with private individuals, artisans and scores of others whose trades require electricity, lamenting a fate which governments over the years seem to find intractable.
The state has lost its glory as the power state because of the almost unavailability of power in the major cities of the state.
To restore this sad situation, the state Government in conjunction with Transmission company of Nigeria will embark on creation of substations across the state. The first to be created will be situated in Gurara Local Government where TCN has identified 300 by 300ft piece of land in Bonu village. Falling in tandem with Governor Bello’s restoration agenda, the intervention will hopefully restore hopes and cause reversals in the experiences of people whose businesses have suffered and economic situation on the downturn particularly those who live in Gurara, Suleja, Tafa and part of Paikoro LG Areas. Both the Government and the community has agreed that the community will be adequately compensated.
