Wife of Niger State Governor, Hajiya Fatima Umaru Bago has assured that the farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago-led administration will continue to carter for children especially orphans in the Government orphanage.
Hajiya Fatima Bago gave the assurance when she visited the government orphanage to donate food items in the Spirit of one-year anniversary of the farmer Governor Umaru Bago-led administration.
She said the present administration would ensure that a safe place is provided for the children to shield them from bad influence and also make sure they are enrolled for skill acquisition programmes.
“This is just the beginning. We have so much plans for them, and better days are ahead.” She assured.
On the ICT section of the orphanage that was gutted by fire in April, the Wife of the farmer Governor said she will work with the Ministry of Women Affairs to ensure it is fixed.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Titi Auta commended the wife of the Governor for her efforts and support to the orphanage and the vulnerable children since the beginning of the administration.
Some of the food items presented were noodles, drinks, spaghetti, vegetable oil, rice, beans among others.
Cooked food was also presented to each child at the orphanage.
The wife of the farmer Governor rejoiced with the children to give them a sense of belonging.
