The Farmer Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago made the disclosure in an interview shortly after a retirement reception, organised in honour of the retired DCG of Custom, organised by his family and friends in Abuja.

He explained that the contract farming was to provide opportunity for the MDAs that indicate interest in crop production to ensure food security.

The farmer Governor said cleared, and prepared land would be made available for them, amd that the State government will choose the crops to be planted.

He expressed confidence that the initiative would boost food production thereby crashing the cost of food crops in the Country.
