Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago says he remains appreciative of the massive support from the residents of Minna Emirate in his continuous efforts in transforming the State Capital.
Farmer Governor Umaru Bago expresses his gratitude when he received a delegation from Minna Emirate and stakeholders led by the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Faruk Bahago on an appreciation visit to the Governor at the Government House, Minna.
Farmer Umaru Bago who describes the visit as unprecedented adding that accolades and appreciation from the Emirate and other stakeholders is a push for him to do more and reassures them that he will not let them down.
He says Minna as the Capital of Niger State cannot remain underdeveloped, this, he says prompted his decision to embark on massive infrastructural development of the town while disclosing his plans for more developmental projects.
The Farmer Governor recounts how the people of Minna through their overwhelming support played a huge role in his career as a banker, and even as they supported his political career as a Federal Legislator for twelve years and his journey becoming a Governor.
The Farmer Governor then reaffirms his loyalty and commitment to the development of the Emirate while stating that he will continue to seek for advice and words of wisdom from the Emirate for the overall development of the State.
In his remarks, the Emir of Minna, Alh. Umar Faruk Bahago informs the Farmer Governor that the delegation was in Government House, Minna to show appreciation to Farmer Umaru Bago for his giant strides in transforming the State Capital and the State in general.
The Emir also applauds the Farmer Governor for his tireless efforts in tackling insecurity in the State which he says witnessed remarkable improvement.
He equally discloses to the Governor that the Minna Emirate Council and the good people of Niger State are solidly behind him as he continues to initiate people oriented policies.
The Emir thereafter presented the Farmer with a gift of Kolanuts and hoe.
