Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago expresses appreciation and gratitude to all citizens of the State for their continued show of understanding to his administration while he was on leave.

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago specifically in a statement commends his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba for the active, passionate and resilient manner he steered the ship of leadership as the Acting Governor.

The Farmer Governor further applauds Members of the State Executive Council, the leadership, and Members of the Legislature, the Judiciary, Traditional and Religious leaders as well as the Heads of Security Agencies in the State for their overwhelming support and contributions which the Farmer Governor says facilitated the smooth running of governance while he was away.

He also commends the Media organisations and all practicing Journalists in the State for their role in promoting the growth and development of Niger State.

The Farmer Governor says the leave period has afforded him the opportunity to reflect and evaluate the impact of his administration’s policies and programmes with the view to improving on them for better service delivery to the people.

He reaffirms his commitment to serving the people diligently and with more vigor to achieve the New Niger Agenda.

Recall that the farmer Governor embarked on one month leave after the State Assembly approved his request to transmit the powers of his office to his Deputy, to act as the Governor.
