FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO INSPECTS THE SITE FOR MINNA NEW CITY GATE *** GIVES DIRECTIVES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A ROUNDABOUT AT PAIKO JUNCTION
Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has inspected the proposed site for the construction of the new City Gate.
The Farmer Governor was at the site in Jazu community, Paikoro Local Government Area alongside his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, the contractors, consultants and some members of the State Executive Council with a view to fast tracking the design of the projects
He briefed the contractors on the expectations of the State Government from the constructing firm.
Recall that the Farmer Governor had on the 14th of September, 2023, announced the relocation of the Minna city gate from Chanchaga local government to Paikoro local government in line with his urban renewal policy and to pave way for the expansion of the state Capital .
The Farmer Governor also had a stopover at Paiko junction where he briefed the contractors and Consultants on what government intends to do at the Paiko junction to decongest traffic and reduce road accidents.
He was also at the Niger State Transport Authority NSTA Office Headquarters in Shango for inspection with a view to creating a conducive working environment for the staff.
Farmer Governor Bago also inspected the ongoing Mosque construction at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre Minna, where he expressed satisfaction with the level of work attained.
