FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO RECEIVES AWARD FROM NIA FOR HIS DELIBERATE EFFORTS IN URBAN RENEWAL AND RURAL TRANSFORMATION
Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has been presented with an award by the Nigerian Institute of Architects, Niger State Chapter.
The award was presented to him at the government house Minna when a delegation of the Institute paid a courtesy visit to the Governor.
Farmer Governor Umaru Bago appreciated their visit and the honour done to him, describing it as confirmation that he is on the right track and that he will not relent in service delivery to the people of the State.
He approved the request for land made by the Institute to build its Minna branch office.
President of the Institute, Arc Bolaji who led the delegation explained that the award was in recognition of the passion and decisive steps taken by the Governor on Urban Renewal and Rural Transformation of Niger State.
She noted that the efforts will no doubt add aesthetics to the State.
Highlighting the talents of Architects in the State, who made the State proud in a National Competition last Year, Arc Bolaji urged the Governor to employ more Architects from among them to contribute their quota to the growth and development of the State.
Among the delegation was Arc. Usman Aliyu Yarima, Chairman of the Niger State Chapter, and other national and state officials as well as members.
