Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago sympathises with his Borno State counterpart, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum and the entire people of Borno, over the recent flood disaster that ravaged the State leaving many residents homeless.
The farmer Governor, in a solidarity message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, describes the flood disaster as unfortunate and pathetic.
He acknowledges that it is indeed a trying moment for the government and people of Borno State.
While encouraging Governor Zulum and all those affected by the disaster to remain steadfast in Allah regardless of the circumstances, the farmer Governor says the government and people of Niger State share in their pains and losses.
He urges the relevant authorities at the Federal level to expedite action in providing humanitarian services to the victims.
Recently, the Alo Dam in Maiduguri overflowed, and led to a flood that submerged many homes, and other infrastructures.killing many and rendering thousands homeless.
