FARMER UMARU BAGO AMONG A 37-MAN TRIPARTITE NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE COMMITTEE
Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago is among the 37-man Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage inaugurated by the Federal Government.
The inauguration which was conducted by the Vice President, Kashi Shettima, was held at the Presidential Villa, State House Abuja.
The Tripartite Committee which is to be Chaired by Bukar Goni Aji, Former Head of Service, is to among other things come up with a recommendation for a new National Minimum Wage for the Country.
The Committee members were drawn from the Federal and State governments as well as representatives from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC); Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC); and Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA).
Others are representatives of the Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA); National Association of Small and Medium Enterprise (NASME); and Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN)
Farmer Governor Umaru Bago is the representative of North Central States.
