GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO BAGS AFRICA SUSTAINABILITY OUTLIERS AWARD IN ETHIOPIA ***PLEDGES TO DELIVER MORE DIVIDENDS OF DEMICRACY
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has been conferred with the Africa Sustainability Outliers (ASO) Award by the African Union in Adis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman who received the Award on behalf of Governor Umaru Bago stated that the Award, which is an acknowledgment of Governor Bago’s landmark achievements in the State, is quite encouraging.
The Governor stressed that the award conferred on him will spur him and his team to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of the State.
He reassured the people of the State that his administration will continue to consider the citizens and its policies and programmes.
According to the Governor, ASO Award is driven by a profound commitment to advancing sustainability across Africa, adding that the award is more than just accolades as it is instrumental in shaping a brighter and more sustainable future for Africa.
He further described the ASO Award as a beacon of hope, a catalyst for change, and a testament to the exceptional and tireless efforts of Africans rewriting Africa’s narrative.
