Today the 11th of October 2023, the Deputy Governor of Niger State Comrade Yakubu Garba on behalf of the Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago swore in the new chairman of Lapai local Government Council, Mohammed Musa Kirikpo. The event took place during the weekly 5th State Executive Council meeting.
The Deputy Governor charged him to be committed and key into the Governor Umar Mohammed Bago led Administration’s vision and mission of a new Niger.
Comrade Yakubu Garba urged him to use the powers bestowed on him by the constitution to choose a vice chairman from the councillors.
“DON’T IMPOSE BUT FOLLOW DUE PROCESS AND ALLOW DEMOCRACY TAKE ITS COURSE ALLOW THE COUNCILLORS TO CHOOSE THE RIGHTFUL PERSON” The Deputy Governor said.
The oath of office was Administered on the chairman by Justice Hafsat Bawa Wuse at the council chambers Government House, Minna .
