Formulate and execute policies and programs that enhance the quality, accessibility, and affordability of secondary and tertiary healthcare services in the state.
Oversee and Regulate Healthcare Facilities
Oversee and regulate the general administration of secondary and tertiary healthcare facilities including general hospitals, specialist hospitals, and teaching hospitals.
Provide Infrastructure, Equipment, and Personnel
Ensure that secondary and tertiary healthcare facilities are equipped with adequate infrastructure, cutting-edge medical equipment, essential pharmaceuticals, and skilled personnel.
Promote ICT for Healthcare Enhancement
Promote the development and utilization of ICT within secondary and tertiary healthcare to improve diagnosis accuracy, treatment methodologies, and medical record management.
Support Capacity Building and Innovation
Support capacity building and innovation for healthcare providers and staff by investing in training, research, and continuous professional development.
Foster Collaboration with Relevant Stakeholders
