Formulate and execute policies, programs, and projects that ensure the provision of sufficient, safe, and affordable water supply and sanitation services to the people of Niger State.
Sustainable Water Resources Management
Develop and meticulously manage the water resources within Niger State, encompassing surface water, groundwater, rainwater, and wastewater, safeguarding against pollution and degradation.
Regulation and Compliance Assurance
Regulate and vigilantly monitor activities within the water sector of Niger State, guaranteeing strict adherence to water resources laws, standards, and regulations.
Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM)
Promote and actively support IWRM within Niger State by fostering cooperation among stakeholders at federal, state, and local levels.
Capacity Building and Infrastructure Enhancement
Enhance the capacity of water sector institutions and personnel within Niger State by providing training, equipment, infrastructure, and an enabling environment.
Reliable Data and Information Management
Generate, manage, and disseminate reliable and timely data and information pertaining to water resources and water services to inform decision-making.
Public Awareness and Participation
