The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Abubakar Usman led members of the State Executive Council and other top government officials as well as civil servants on a road walk.
The walk which commenced from the Government House Minna through the major roads to Mobil roundabout and terminated at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre was part of activities to mark the first anniversary of the Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago-led administration.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, SSG Abubakar Usman, explained that the exercise is necessary for them as it would keep them fit for the task of complementing the efforts of the farmer Governor in transforming the State.
Also, the Head of Service Niger State, Abubakar Salisu, revealed that the exercise would be a continuous one, adding that it would be held twice every month to enable government officials and civil servants keep fit and improve their physical and mental health for higher productivity.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hajiya Binta Mamman, commended the State Government’s plans to make the exercise bi-monthly, and expressed optimism that the desired objective would be achieved.
