CHILDREN’S DAY: FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO REITERATES DETERMINATION TO PROTECT RIGHTS OF CHILDREN ***DESCRIBES THEM AS PRICELESS GIFTS FROM GOD

Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has stressed his administration’s determination to continue to protect the rights of the children.

 

The farmer Governor in a message by his Chief Press Secretary Bologi Ibrahim, to the Children as they celebrate this year’s Children’s Day, said it is duty bound for the government to protect children from any form of abuse and sufferings.

 

He further stated that it is necessary to also provide the children with basic needs of life such as shelter, food, health and education, as they are priceless gifts from God.

 

The farmer Governor, who expressed concern over the level at which children are involved in various forms of social vices, maintained that guardians and parents must rise to the task of inculcating good morals in their wards and children.

 

While acknowledging the negative impact of insecurity on the Children in the State, the farmer Governor said all hands must be on deck to safeguard the children against activities of terrorists and ensure that they do not take up to crime.

 

He also assured that his administration will not relent in initiating various programmes that would propel children to greatness.
