FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO ATTENDS MINI DURBAR IN KONTAGORA *** RESTATES COMMITMENT TO ADDRESSING INSECURITY IN THE STATE TO PAVE THE WAY FOR RAPID DEVELOPMENT
Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has reaffirmed his commitment to bringing to an end, the insecurity challenges confronting the State.
Farmer Governor Umaru Bago stated this during the traditional Mini Durbar held at the Palace of the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora Muhammad Barau Mu’azu II to mark this year’s Eid-El-Fitr celebration.
The Farmer Governor said his administration is committed to taking proactive steps by collaborating with conventional and non-conventional security agents to contain banditry and other forms of terrorist activities in the State that have continued to pose a threat to the lives of residents.
He also disclosed that plans are underway to repair and reconstruct Hospitals in Kontagora to provide healthcare services to the people.
While highlighting numerous measures the State Government has devised to tackle poverty in the State, Farmer Governor Umaru Bago said Agriculture remains key in improving the economy hence, his administration is well on course in its agricultural revolution.
Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora, Muhammad Barau Mu’azu II in his address called on his subjects to remain law abiding and continue to live in peace with one another for the growth and development of the State.
He thanked Farmer Governor Umaru Bago for his efforts aimed at developing Kontagora Emirates and reassured him of continued support.
The Farmer Governor was presented with gifts by the Sarki Sudan as a mark of honour and respect
Farmer Governor Umaru Bago also held a meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Stalwarts from Niger North Senatorial District at the State government lodge in Kontagora, where he highlighted some projects to be executed for the region under his “New Niger” initiative.
He called for their support to achieve his agenda aimed at improving all the sectors in the State.
