FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO SIGNS TWO BILLS INTO LAW

Niger State Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has assented into law the bill to amend the office of the Auditor-General of the State; and the bill to amend the office of the Auditor-General for local government.

The two bills were signed into law at the Council chamber of Government House, Minna.

The laws are “A law to Amend the Office of the Auditor-General of the State Law 2021 and for connected purposes, 2024” and “A law to Amend the Office of the Auditor-General for Local Government Law 2021 and for other connected purposes, 2024”

Speaking to Journalists, the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State, Barr. Nasir Mu’azu explained that the first law modified by deleting the ward “bill” which was repeatedly used as against the word “law”

He added that the second law was amended to create sub-section seven, to provide certain percentage for the office of the Auditor-General and other employees of the two offices.
