Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has reiterated his commitment to the overall well-being of the people of the State through the policies and programmes of his administration.

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago made this known when the Executive Council Members of the State All Progressives Congress (APC) led by its Acting Chairman, Aminu Musa Bobi paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Minna.

The Farmer Governor who affirmed his loyalty to the APC, said his administration will not relent in its drive to diversify the economy through agriculture as the State cannot afford to continue to rely on the monthly Federal Allocation.

He disclosed that he will soon embark on town hall meetings with the stakeholders in all the 25 Local Government Areas of the State to listen to their yearnings and aspirations with a view to meeting them.

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago who commended the leadership of the APC at the State level, however, charged them to come up with a Calendar of activities of the Party to promote its growth and development.

Earlier, the Acting APC State Chairman, Aminu Musa Bobi said the Party has passed a vote of confidence on the Governor for his giant strides towards developing the State.

Aminu Bobi described the Governor’s travels as result-oriented and that the Party will continue to throw its weight of support behind him.

He disclosed the Party’s plan to build a befitting State Party Office and called on the Governor for his support in that regard.
