Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State introduced his “New Niger” Agenda at a grand reception at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Center, Minna. The event promotes unity and collaboration among critical stakeholders, regardless of political or religious differences, including federal and state officials. The agenda seeks to tap into the state’s abundant but underutilized resources and will be discussed quarterly.
The gathering of the stakeholders intends to regularly discuss how each person in a position of authority can leverage their influence to drive development in Niger State.
Speakers and attendees included Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris Malagi, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, Senator Peter Jiya Ndalikali, Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly Hon. Abdulmalik Muhammad Sarkin Daji, Chief Judge Justice, Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik, and the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora Muhammadu Barau Mu’azu II.
The event serves as a platform for open discussion and problem-solving, urging local government councils to hold similar events.
