NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT AWAITS CERTIFICATION OF NCAA FOR TAKE-OFF AND LANDING OF ALL KINDS OF FLIGHTS IN MINNA AIRPORT
Niger State Government is anticipating certification by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), to commence take-off and landing of all kinds of aircraft at the Minna Airport.
The certification is expected to be given by Monday, the 23rd of October 2023.
Given this, the State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has contracted Dantata and Sawoe to fix the lapses identified in the reconstruction of the runway at the Minna Airport.
The efforts of the State Government are in preparation to host National and International guests expected to attend the forthcoming Green Economy Summit in Minna, slated for the 24th and 25th of October, 2023.
The repairs by Dantata and Sawoe have already attained 80 per cent completion and will soon be completed.
Recall that Governor Umaru Bago, alongside the Managing Director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, Kabir Yusuf Muhammad and the Chairman of the House Committee on Aviation Abdullahi Idris Garba inspected the newly reconstructed runway at the Minna Airport where he expressed dismay, describing the quality of the project as shabby.
