The government of Niger State has revealed that discussions are underway with private airline operators to begin commercial flight operations within the state.
Governor Mohamed Umaru Bago made this announcement during an inspection of the ongoing reconstruction of the runway and terminal projects at Minna Airport. He expressed dissatisfaction with the slow progress of work on the terminal and stated that the state government would engage with the contractor to take control of the project, aiming for immediate completion.
