NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT OPENS PARTNERSHIP DISCUSSION WITH A TURKISH COMPANY

Niger State Government has opened discussion with a Turkish company; Ankara Chamber of Commerce for possible mutually beneficial partnership.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Niger State, Alh. Abubakar Usman on behalf of the farmer Governor, received the delegation from Turkey, led by Prof. Omer Caglar Yilmaz, a board Member of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce at the Government House, Minna.

The SSG, who acknowledged the expertise of Turkey in so many areas and that the State government has interest in making the partnership a reality, noted that there are opportunities for partnership abounds in Health, Agriculture, Infrastructure, ICT among other sectors.

He said the State Government would facilitate a study visit to Turkey to deepen the discussion for partnership.

The leader of the Delegation and a Board Member of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, Prof. Omer Caglar Yilmaz, who spoke in Turkish while the Vice CEO of Turquaz Health, Naci Tamer Hotomaroglu interpreted, highlighted the competence of the company in various sectors such as Health, Infrastructure, ICT, Agriculture and many more expressed optimism that partnering with Niger State would be successful considering it’s proximity to the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

Earlier, the delegation met with the Commissioner for Industries, Trade and Investment, Alh. Aminu Suleiman Takuma and heads of some other relevant MDAs to discuss ways of partnership.
