GOVERNOR BAGO EXPRESSES CONFIDENCE IN HIS PREDECESSOR’s GOOD REPRESENTATION AT THE RED CHAMBER
Niger State Governor Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed optimism that the Lawmaker representing Niger North, Sen. Abubakar Sani Bello who doubles as his predecessor, will make the state proud at the National Assembly.
The Governor stated this in an interview at a reception held in honour of the Niger North Senator after his inauguration in Abuja.
While assuring him of the state government support, Governor Umaru Bago called on him to remain commited to ensuring good representation to his Senatorial District in particular and the state as a whole.
Governor Umaru Bago who wished the Lawmaker well in his new National assignment said despite being a first timer in the National Assembly , the Senator will meet up and surpass expectations of his constituents .
“I wish him well, I want him to know that we have his back as government, our doors are open, we will welcome pieces of advice from him and we will work together him”.
“I want him to represent us well, he is a rookie when it comes to legislation and I know with the kind of person he is, he will catch up fast and he will do us proud”, he said.
The Niger North Senator and immediate past Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello said he will give his Senatorial district the best representation by engaging relevant stakeholders intermittently to know their concerns, and feedback and suggestions with a view to bringing about the much needed growth and development .
“I have always been on the executive side, but definitely as a Senator, I will do my best to give them the representation they deserve.
“I will engage stakeholders from time to time to understand their feelings, and difficulties and see how to help at the centre in addressing them. That is exactly what am going to do”, he asserted.
The event was attended by many dignitaries from all walks of life.
