Emerging facts reveal that the staff of both the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and those of the State Universal Basic Education Board-SUBEB may have been swindled by their bosses due to lack of remittance of their monthly pension deductions to the Niger State Pensions Board for the past 4-years amounting to Billions of Naira.

Investigations revealed that the money deducted from these workers have been diverted by officials through private accounts of which they are sole signatory; as alleged by one of the victims who wants to remain anonymous.

When our reporter contacted most of the affected persons, they pleaded with the present leadership in the state to quickly intervene by ensuring that their diverted pensions are returned to them and bring the culprits to book to serve as a deterrent to others.
